AP Marine`s newly developed electrical drive system “ECS 2100 WT” successfully received its type approval by Lloyd`s Register.
The new system not only fulfilled Lloyd`s highest demands but also convinces through strong arguments and innovative features:
The ECS 21000 WT system for watertight bulkhead sliding doors operates with robust dynamos and consumes surprisingly little energy despite of its great clamping force. Due to its IP 67 backup batteries it works independently from the shipboard emergency power. The system`s flat control cabinet allows an overhead mounting and its robust spindles possess a built-in shock relief. The innovative solution for a 100% “flush sill” replaces the risky flap coverage by an inside track link chain, covering the sill completely even when the door is closing. All of this works on a 24 V DC basis to guarantee a safe and secure ship operation.
The new ECS 2100 WT system can be delivered in loose components or fully cabled onto a ship door. It is now waiting for its type approval with DNV.
